Congratulations to FES Support Services, RECC member based in Stirling, who won the prestigious Residential Solar & Storage Award at the Solar & Storage Awards in Birmingham on Thursday evening.
Working with Stirling Council in 2018/19 FES installed 945 residential solar PV systems along with 26 Tesla battery storage systems. The average installed capacity of each system was 3.08 kWp, with an average annual generation of 2,140 kWh. In total 8,500 panels were installed. A further 120 battery storage units will be retro-fitted in off-grid properties in the coming months, giving self-consumption rates, where they are co-located with solar PV, of up to 85%.
Completing this project means that Sitrling Council is now well-placed to meet and surpass the new Energy Efficiency Standards for Social Housing (EESSH) announced by Scottish Government in May this year. To date FES Support Services has installed over 3.000 solar PV systems for Stirling Council and has co-located 200 battery storage systems.
It is an achievement which deserves the recognition it received at the Awards Dinner on Thursday evening.
